This is free, unlike the climb, which is a little pricey, and you can access the walkway in the Rocks District, while you can access the bridge on the southern side at Cumberland Street and the pedestrian section is open 24 hours a day, where you are guaranteed a panoramic vista of the harbour.
The Water Taxis
When looking at water taxis in Sydney, if you search with Google and find a carrier’s website, you can actually book your trip, choosing your departure and destination, the number of passengers and your date and time, which means you won’t be disappointed. You can depart from locations such as Circular Quay, Darling Harbour, or Manly and the ferry will take you to any of the prime spots around the harbour.
Beach BBQ at Bronte
There’s no better way to relax than a barbie at Bronte Beach, which is 1km south of the famous Bondi Beach and to get there, take number 379 bus from Bondi Junction. There is a nice park with tables and chairs where you can spread out your hamper and enjoy the warm sunshine and watch a magical sunset.
Eat in Chinatown
Sydney’s Chinatown is located on Little Hay Street and on Friday nights, there is the Night Market, although you can enjoy great Chinese cuisine every night of the week. If you can manage to time your visit to coincide with a full lunar moon, you can enjoy fireworks and dragon dancing, as well as a traditional Chinese lantern procession.
The Royal Botanic Gardens
While most people visit during the day, the gardens are beautiful in the evening, while the gates are open until 8pm, so don’t leave it too late, otherwise you might be there until the morning!
When looking to get around Sydney Harbour, the water taxis are ideal, plus you get a different view of the landscape as you travel across the harbour.
